Here at Voice of Life, we seek to provide relevant, purpose-driven ministry to every area of the body of Christ. It is our belief that people of ages must be ministered to at a level appropriate for their spiritual growth and development in the Kingdom. It is for this very reason that we must offer a variety of ministry areas. Voice of Life offers ministry to the following groups:

It is essential for us to grow spiritually day by day from the time we commit our lives to following Christ. One of our objectives as a church is to provide avenues for spiritual growth to every man, woman, boy, and girl. This is a neccesity if we are to be an effective, community-changing church body.

Childrens Ministries


Kids Church


Our Children are our GREATEST resource, and what they are taught today will be the philosophy of our society tomorrow.  It is vital that we raise our Children in the admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ.  In a time when our schools are teaching un-Godly doctrines and secular lies it is absolutely necessary that we anchor our children in the teachings of Jesus Christ, or we may loose the next generation to sexual promiscuity, Darwinism, secular liberalism, and societal perversions of all sorts.  The front lines of the battle have shifted.  The fight for our nation and the world is knocking on our children’s door.  Voice of Life Children’s Church has the solution.  On their level we will teach the basic principles' of God’s word laying the foundation for deeper studies as they progress in life.  What your child learns in Children's Church will be fundamental to their next step into becoming an adolescent.  Voice of Life Children’s Church will assist the parents in laying that foundation, by instilling principles of integrity, love, and faith in Jesus Christ!

 

Infants and Toddlers Class


We have a great program for our infants and toddlers.  At this young age the word of God must be taught in a special way.  We have great teachers who know just how to do this.  With each service they provide gospel oriented curriculum that helps to instill the principles that Jesus taught all men, but only in a way that will register with their young minds.  Jesus said to allow the little ones to come unto him and forbid them not.  We believe at this stage in their life it is critical to expose them to the teachings we hold dear as adults.  The best thing is parents can have a break and enjoy the adult services while knowing their infants and toddlers are being taught the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Friday Nite Live

We would like to introduce you to a very unique and entertaining ministry here at Voice of Life, we call Friday Nite Live.  In an unconventional and somewhat entertaining way we will present the message of Jesus Christ.  Friday Nite Live uses skits, puppets, dramas, and music to declare the gospel message.  It’s better than a movie and less expensive, IT’S FREE, and good for the whole family!  We have drama and comedy!  The kids will love the puppets!  I even love the puppets!  You will be inspired by the skits.  Why spend a humdrum evening at home watching TV when you can do something different for a change?  Come to Friday Nite Live!!!  Have fun! Relax, and enjoy the service!

Student Ministries

Voice of Life Ministries proudly presents VOLYM (Voice of Life Youth Ministries) lead by Michael Venable. VOLYM (pronounced volume) is a unique way of ministering to the youth of Hueytown and surrounding areas. Our youth meets in the VOLYM Room on Wednesday nights, where the word of God is taught; However the VOLYM room is much more, it is a place of games, fun, and youth get togethers. We also incorporate our youth with our Friday Nite Live outreach, demonstrating God’s love and power thru dramas and skits. VOLYM is NOT a religious session or service, but a RADICLE EXPERIANCE with God. Come join us and see for yourself!

 

Praise and Worship

 

Praise and Worship is an important part of our services.  We are a free Church and we believe in freedom to worship in ones own way!  Here in our Church we do not hinder ones open expression of worship, nor will we impose any one way of worship on anyone.  We believe that worship is a matter of the heart and should be practiced as one is led by the spirit to worship.

 

Intercessory Prayer Ministry

 

Intercessory Prayer Team


Intercessory prayer is the life of any ministry or church.  Failure is a certainty without it.  We live in a time when the pressures of life threaten our peace of mind and the difficulty of success increases while the fortitude to press on is weakened, but when our strength fails there is a secret place in God that we can go, a place called prayer.  We have recognized this ever increasing need and have organized a weekly prayer vigil on Thursdays.  We would love for you to be a part of this great ministry of intercession that brings a refreshing and renewing to individual lives and ministries in the Hueytown area.
